The show matters less as television history than as a cultural clue.
It only makes sense in a country where many adults think children should be allowed to talk about bodies, awkwardness, and physical difference with less taboo and less panic than elsewhere. That does not mean everyone loved it. It means the argument around it happened inside a recognisably Dutch framework.
